The AMS1117-3.3V LDO Linear Voltage Regulator IC is a low-dropout, three-terminal regulator designed to deliver a stable 3.3V output at up to 1A load current in a compact SOT-223 package. It is well suited for embedded systems, IoT devices, and general-purpose power regulation applications.
The AMS1117 series features low standby current of typically 2mA, offering improved efficiency compared to similar regulators. It is available in multiple fixed output voltage options including 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, and 12V, as well as an adjustable version that allows output voltage configuration from 1.25V to 12V using only two external resistors.
To ensure reliable operation, the device integrates thermal shutdown and current limiting protection, safeguarding both the IC and the overall power system. Precision trimming during manufacturing ensures output voltage accuracy within ±2%, with tighter accuracy options (such as ±1%) available upon request.
